Meeting Minutes

1. Call to order

President Nick Orzano called to order the regular monthly meeting of the Andersen DEANS Foundation at 6:30pm at the Phase I Club House.

1. Roll call

The following members were present: 

General Session and Closed Session: Dr. Lewis, Michael Dye, Tim Blackburn, Darren Anthony, Carter Weir, Nick Orzano, David Jubitz, Chase Rief, and Kevin Harbour.

General Session Guests:  Brett Butler, Bobby Girard

• General Session
  1. Principal’s Report:
     • Interviews for office assistant last week. Process moving forward.
     • 25 people at last Principal Chat hosted by Dr. Lewis
     • Holiday program on December 15^th, Early out on December 23^rd.
     • Discussions on new classroom furniture ongoing
     • Teachers have requested funding for:
       • 3^rd grade wordly wise
       • Snap circuits for science

   • Tour de Port Streets
     1. Planning ongoing. Targeting next week for Save the Date email.

     1. 42% of families have donated YTD
     2. End of year email coming out to push for additional donations in 2022 tax year
     3. Still looking for 1 Dolphin Academy teacher

   1. Discussion ongoing regarding process of nominating new board members and board construction.
