District funding provides the essential foundation. Working with Andersen leadership and the PTA, DEANS helps the school go further—giving students targeted support, meaningful academic challenge, creative outlets, hands-on discovery, and more ways to find what inspires them.



Teachers and Learning Support

DEANS-funded Dolphin Academy educators expand learning time through early-literacy support, deeper math, physical education, robotics, and responsive elementary instruction.



Music, Arts, and Expression

Rock band, orchestra, Class Act, and performance opportunities help students build confidence and creativity. Art Masters and Recess Art are supported in partnership with the Andersen PTA.



STEAM, Robotics, and the Garden

Robotics, Math Olympiad, the Makerspace, STEAM experiences, and the school garden turn curiosity into hands-on problem-solving, responsibility, and discovery.



A Connected Andersen Community

In partnership with the Andersen PTA and school, STEAM Night, Passport to Andersen, and family learning strengthen belonging. DEANS events deepen connections among families, neighbors, and local businesses.

DEANS was founded by a group of Andersen dads in 1997 to restore programs and strengthen the learning environment at our neighborhood school.

Today, that same spirit is carried forward by families, educators, volunteers, neighbors, and local businesses working together for every Andersen student.
